Count Down Intensifies

Two more months...

Hello my little Fairy Foxes <3
So a lot has happened the past month, especially this past week. I've had contact from NUFS, the university I will be exchanging to and got official acceptance to their program as well as a scholarship.
All that's left is to get my visa!
At this point I'm trying to hurry up and finish my summer class and get through work, the day is getting ever closer and now that I've gotten my plane ticket it only feels that more official.
By the way, if you are a student or work for a university I highly recommend using sutdentuniverse.com I got my ticket there and let me share a neat little story.
Originally I would be saving 300$ JUST buying my tickets from Student Universe, but will a little help from lady luck and the interference of adulting matter (having to call my credit card company to raise my spending limit) I waited just enough time to catch a neat sale saving me another 300$ in the process.
The place I will be staying is the more expensive of the three options available, while I was hoping for the International House I honestly can't complain. I am so excited and grateful to be able to experience this. It's pretty cool to say "my first time living alone and in my own apartment was when I lived in Japan a year" even just saying "I lived in Japan a year" or "I will be living in Japan a year" has this surreal ring to it, don't you think?
I just got my suitcase this past week. It's huge and purple! My mum is such a blessing, I absolutely could not have ever been able to do this if it weren't for her. She and I went searching around Monday and found the perfect suitcase (:
I don't know what I'm going to do with out her, but I'm excited and ready for the challenge. You know that feeling when you're standing on the edge of a cliff and looking down, or when you standing at Hoover Dam and look over the edge and that crazy whoosh of air takes your breath away?
Well now you can imagine just how I'm feeling, it feels like I'm standing at the edge of some great moment and the feeling is addicting.

I Am In Japan!

Good evening! It's currently Sunday night and about 10pm at the time I am typing this. The past few days have been a roller coaster, and the only thing on my mind has been trying my best to document it all. I keep getting little snippets of video, I just can't do it all justice. Japan is already a super strange and interesting place. I'm American so everything is always strange but here's a small list of oddities I have noticed over the past two-ish days. -Having to ask for bags at the supermarket -A lot more floor-oriented furniture -Pachinkos -Everyone talks low and quick -There is a remote for my lights (pretty neat) -Crunchyroll is restricted in Japan -Convenient store food is actually pretty amazing Honestly, I woke up feeling terrible. I was sick, homesick, and miserable. But, like all good daughters, I listened to my mommy and talked to some of the people I traveled here with. I was a sobbing puking mess, but it was okay. I'm okay. I'm not going to lie ...
